This day started with a totally different landscape.the terrain was relatively easy. The
Steep ascend lasted only for around one and a half hour and it was almost a level walk thereafter. Nevertheless it was equally beautiful. One of the most amusing things to happen on this day was the encounter with the stone pelting sheep. The trek leader had warned us that on this day we would face some sheep who might pelt stones at us. Actually when we reached the spot we realised that the stones came rolling down on the trail as the herd of sheep walked on the slopes. The stream on the way was very calm, as still as the boulders that lay on it. It appeared as if it was waiting for the exhausted birds to quench their thirst after a long flight. I spent some time sitting around the placid lake and surrounded myself with the sound of silence.
After walking for around six hours we reached Satsar lake base camp, Where hot Rajma Chawal made for a hearty lunch.

Satsar is a collection of seven small lakes in the Satsar Valley. A short nap after lunch rejuvenated us to go on with our quest for Satsar lakes. They were nestled a little far away from our campsite. We managed to see two of those lakes. They had an altogether different aura. They looked different in colour from all other lakes. The stones beneath the water were clearly visible. Though we wanted to hang around for a longer time, we had to return to the campsite quickly as the sun was soon going to hide behind the mountains.
Even after sundown, the day wasn't over. Another group of trekkers invited us for some games. Dumb charades dominated the evening. Songs of different languages like Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and even Malayalam echoed in the valley. It was an evening to remember.

Time worth spent.. your words makes imagination vivid..
